 Overview
 Description
The Manitowoc Portland cement company is a fairly large facility spanning several buildings which house equipment and the large rotating kiln.

The base of the location floods in the summer and is an ince skating rink in the winter.

The summer months, I consider this site to be somewhat of a wildlife refuge and if you go at night, be mindful of the coyote, fox and MANY Raccoon which have made home of this place.

The machinery is quite interesting with a very large "kiln master control" and very large equipment.

There are "catwalks" in the building which are rusted and caution should be taken when traversing them as their strength is unknown.

Next to the main plant is a newer facility with entry possible through the conveyor system, however, you need be in shape to make it (at least be able to perform a pull-up of your own body weight)

This building is 4 stories and has numerous controls and, as well, is grated metal for walkways.

Located next to the river and near many active buildings, it is somewhat of a challenge to get in.
