It holds 10,000 spectators. Built as the venue for the Indianapolis Tennis Championships and also hosted the 1987 Pan-American Games. In December 2009 the Association of Tennis Professionals, the owners of the license for the tournament sold the license to a group from Atlanta, Georgia. Once the license was sold, the tournaments moved to Atlanta and the Tennis Center lost it's only tenant.
