Long abandoned automobile race track at E-470 / I-70 in Aurora. Location is in relatively near some warehouses & development, but is very secluded once you're on the grounds.

HUGE weeds growing up through the spectator stands, and TREES growing up where the track is.
Update - The Raceway is no more. A road is being built through the heart of the track.
2017 - Now home to the new Amazon distribution center.

Century 21 Raceway opened in 1971, and closed after a short-lived heyday in 1974. There was a quarter mile dragstrip and a 3/8 mile paved oval / figure 8. A larger oval had been bulldozed, but never completed. There were also plans for a road course, but it was never started. Each spectator had their own individual swiveling bucket seat to watch all the action from, some of which still remain but shot to smithereens. After the track closed, the cops used to 'allow' the kids to street race there, until there was a fatality from a head-on, then they brought in dirt preventing motorized access to the track.

No plans for this location from what I can find, so I imagine it will continue to get grown-over.
Update 2016 - Under construction. A road is being built through the property.
2017 - Now home to the new Amazon distribution center.
