This massive, 5+ story tall brick power station, containing nearly 25,000 square-feet of decaying industrial wonder has loomed over Springfield since 1927 and is currently being swiftly demolished. Demolition started around 1st of July, 2010 and is expected to be completed by the beginning of August. The building features a Massive generator room, as well as many floors of scaffolding and equipment which stand several stories tall, if only for a short time more. Behind the plant a massive smoke stack towers above the rest of the facility which is nestled next to a still active power sub-station.
This is completely gone, vaporized, just like all the other Ohio Edison plants. Only the substation remains.

The turbine room is an absolutely massive and beautiful place, lined floor to 3 story high ceiling with glossy yellow bricks. Three massive turbines dominate the room and a huge 60 ton crane looms just below the ceiling.
