Owensboro Riverport Authority President Ed Riney told us plans to sell the property off US 60 don't look promising, and the group will now consider demolition bids for what is left of the old steel mill. Riney said the Riverport had been working with a Louisville barge manufacturer to buy the property, but he said a deal likely wouldn't happen now. He told us the best option is to put the property back on the market and start taking down what's left of the old tenant.
