Built in approximately 1950, and closed in 1995, this public golf course was a local fixture for many years. The first nine holes were based on a design by Robert Trent Jones.
In it's heyday the club could easily have been used for the film Caddyshack. The members were an eclectic bunch and they used all left over money to throw keg parties in the club house.
Unfortunately, the course was purchased by a business park developer, who's plans were never fully brought to fruition. Only a few businesses took interest, and the business that was supposed to build here, backed out.
The buildings have been trashed by scrappers and vandals. The latest rumors point to a hospital being built on this location.
