This must have been a UE paradise before they started developing the area as a tourist hell starting in the 1980s. I remember exploring the commissioner's house before they renovated it, long before I was into UE properly, and of course have no pictures from that.
The rest of the Dockyard is now pretty much completely developed for tourism now, but this particular building remains oddly undisturbed in the midst of the relatively scrubbed and gleaming shops and restaurants which infest the place.

Historical overview of the Royal Naval Dockyard (from Wikipedia):
HMD Bermuda (Her/His Majesty's Dockyard, Bermuda) was the principal base of the Royal Navy in the Western Atlantic between American independence and the Cold War. The larger part of the facility was closed in 1958, but a small section called HMS Malabar was kept active until 1995 as it was a NATO resupply depot.
I can't find much information on the fire which consumed this structure, but an online document I found indicates that it occurred in the late 1980s.
