Packinghouse at the National City Stockyards. The facility opened in 1893 and at its peak included massive slaughtering facilities, its own railyard, and a fertilizer plant. The plant suffered a massive fire in 1967 and was subsequently demolished. A smaller replacement plant was opened in 1971, but with the closing of the stockyards in 1997 that plant was converted into other use.
