The Hi-View theater was opened in the early 1940s in the small college town of Commerce. It only stayed open for a short while closing in 1959. However, it was renovated and re-opened in 1961. But business was slow. It soon became apparent that in order to get business from the nearby students they would have to show adult (B) movies and serve beer. It stayed open using this format until the 70s. Now it is just rotting away in a lonely country pasture like many other drive-ins situated in the country.

     Future Plans
This one is probably too far gone to resurrect unfortunately so its plans are probably just to succumb to the elements.

Google Street View on 5/2013 shows the place still there. The sat. images on 3/12/2014 dont look so promising. May be worth an update if anyone's in the area or we could just wait for another Google drive-by.

    Demo'd as of 2019
