Two small concrete buildings with an attached steel frame and corrugated metal warehouse / factory with a combined space of around 20000 square feet on a about an acre of uptown land near the river. Its in an advanced state of disrepair, there is some minor fire damage and plenty of long term neglect. Vagrants have been camping in here off and on.

This property was owned by the Texas Rail Joint Company from 1929 until a realtor named Panther City Real Estate LLC bought it in 2001. The City of Ft Worth acquired it in 2002, maybe as part of their Trinity River revival plan. There is not much info online after the deed transfered. As you might have guessed they made rail joints here. The connections between the rail road rails were held together with plates and bolts, these guys presumabley manufactured those here. In 2003 Environmental Data Resource Company listed it in their 215 page report to Ft Worth as having some kind of pollutants but did not specify what and it doesnt show up in any EPA or clean air lists. Because the original business made iron rail joints, there may have been some foundry slag or some other type of industrial fallout or metal contamination here. Its next door to another location already in the database here http://www.uer.ca/...ow.asp?locid=26218 but is in fact a separate property with a different owner as noted. An outfit called trinityvision dot org or some such noble cause surveyed all the old structures in this area and deemed this one to be worthless. It wont be long before some city official figures out how to arrange a kickback from some demolition company and the low bidder will get to knock it down.
