 Overview
 Description
Everything's been freshly sealed (28/30/07), although entry is still possible. The good thing is once you're in, the sound of the highway will cover any noise you could potentially make inside.
All windows are boarded, so very little natural light will get in during the day. The first floor is completely trashed and the air quality is particularly bad. Ceiling panels have mixed with water damage, making some parts of the floor feel like paper mache. Lots of relics left over in the social areas and offices. Unfortunately the organ in the photographs was stolen.
The second and third floor are spotless and empty. This is where it's particularly eerie. Great view from the roof.
There are signs outside implying 24 video recording, but this is not true at all.
It's quite close to the GO Station.

     History
This building was originally a hospital. It was built in the late 50's for terminal patients. Over time it became an old folks home.
During the SARS outbreak it was used to "assist the health emergency" becoming a fully active hospital yet again. At this time the long term residents were moved.
The Lifecare Centre was considered for use as a " facility to be used as a potential location where SARS contacts could be isolated and observed". However it was never used. It was abandoned in 2003.
