  •  Interesting Features
When the dam was built in 1955 and Llagas Creek (near the dam) was flooded, it inundated an old concrete bridge over the creek which was built in 1937. There was also a "ranch" home right on the shores of the creek. The bridge is 99% in tact, but the paved roads on both sides of it are heavily eroded. Only the concrete outlying foundation of the ranch exist today. It appears to have been a wood-floored structure as the concrete foundation is only on the perimeter. There are also some old rusted pipes and a capped water well.

The large boulders were place by the Santa Clara Valley Water Conservation District (known today as just "Santa Clara Valley Water District") to prevent any off-road vehicles from driving down into the dry lakebed and over the bridge, risking a collapse.

There's also an old burned down biker bar from 1957 (building from 1909) along the main road. It used to be a haven for motorcyclists and the like.
