  •  Interesting Features
It's a pretty big place with lots of neat brickwork. Unfortunately, 95% of the windows are bricked up. There is also a walkway under the railroad tracks on the west side of the building. Nearly all of the freight elevators still work. There is also a really cool boiler room. Other than that, it's a typical fabric mill.

     History
This mill was built as Washington Mills in the early 1900's as a replacement to Avalon Mills, which burned down in 1911. The mill underwent several owners, eventually coming under control of Tultex Company. The mill was closed in 1999 and sold to a private owner.

     Future Plans
Future plans for this mill are a complete restoration, including demolition of the warehouse portion adjacent to the railroad tracks. The rennovated mill will feature a restaurant, gallery, offices, apartments, and possibly hotel rooms.
