Old USAF Radar Base. Lots of old buildings (20+). It's at the top of the tallest mountain in the area so the views from the top are amazing.

Most of the original building still stand, some of the smaller buildings have been knocked down. When you get to the top there are 3 radar stands, 2 smaller ones and one larger one. The large one can be climbed to the top, it is 200+ feet tall. The view from the top is amazing you can see forever.
Most everything has been cleaned out of the buildings, they are all pretty much empty.

Still looking for more information, but this is what I know so far.
The base is fairly old, from the sources I have read it was operational from at least 1957 to 1961 when it was closed. The site was bought at some time during the early 90's by EMDC. They had plans to erect a wind farm on the site. Over a four year period they tried to get approval fro the wind farm, as of August, 2006 they have been told it's not going to happen.
