     History
This ranch was built in the 1920's, in order to provide horses and mules for work in the nearby mines, and cows for beef to feed the miners. When mining at Brice dropped off, the horse business went away, but cattle ranching continued. The original owner died in 1959, and his heirs worked the place only sporadically. In 1966, the BLM bought the property, and the ranch sits unused to this day. During the mid 1990's, an El Paso company leased the old corrals, and tried to make a go of it doing guided horseback tours, but they failed, and the ranch drifted back to sleep.

     Future Plans
Thie ranch is on BLM land, so nothing will ever really be doen here again. The place may be leased off and on, but I don't forsee any work being done on the buildings, so they will just fall down one day.
