     History
In an effort to provide cheap aluminum for the war effort, the Columbia River was dammed to provide the electricity and the power hungry smelters went up all along the river. This one was first online and apparently provided the aluminum that the Enola Gay was made from.

The plant has been moth-balled pending some time when electricity prices may fall and once again make operation profitable.
