The warehouse at 711 E. Kalamazoo St. was built in 1923 and remodeled in 1940, according to city records. Lansing Community College sold the building in March 2006 for $150,000.
According to Lansing Fire Chief Tom Cochran, the owner Kevin Schoen, was in the initial stages of renovating the property.
