2 to 300,000 sq foot building. rooftop access and a water tower. there's also an extra building empty next to it.

I believe it was at one point a cotton mill, a very large one. and since its been redeveloped into various things, most recently a shopping mall which closed in 1996.
An inside plaque of this building gives a timeline history of the Mill including how it was built in the late 1800's, was sold for $10,000 during the depression, and was once used as a missile plant.

Talked to a local and they said that the owner of the property wants to sell it for $6.5 million. It'll just sit until he gets his asking price, and he refuses to do anything on the property because he doesn't want to pay to repair the water damage or take out the asbestos.
UPDATE: cotton mill square is on it's way down. they tried using some expanding gas to bring down the smoke stack, but the 125 year old smoke stack didnt budge. very soon it will be taken down with explosives.

03/10/08 The smokestack was brought down by implosion and the rest of the mill is coming down quickly.

03/29/08 After a quick trip by last night, I saw that most of the mill building has been dismantled as they recycle every brick and board and stack them for shipment. Only the rear portions of the main building are still standing.
