It spent most of its life as a major chain hotel it become an independent hotel in 2005ish. The hotel in recent years main staple was housing students for GSU infact it was some kind of offical off campus housing. In 2004 a 51% stake was purchased by the local "sex" convetion and the hotel become independent of the major chain. The main business model after that was a long term stay hotel, This attracted many drug dealers and other illegal business to the hotel and it was raided by the DEA and local authorities atleast once.
