History
Once the H.S. Barney Company and then Barneys Department Store - the place closed its doors in the `70's and then became an apartment building in the `80's. The interesting thing is that none of the apartments in the building are the same, due to the odd configuration of the buildings comprising the complex. The H.S. Barney Storehouse building is out back, across Liberty street, and appears to have also been converted into apartments.
