 Overview
 Description
About 3 acres with a large foundry building and furnace type operation with several smaller buildings and warehouses. Its located in a high crime area and almost hidden from view.

I came across this foundry while taking the long way back from another location and had enough daylight left to shoot some quick pics. My time was cut short however before I was done. The Marshall Police showed up and while professional and courteous, they do not appreciate trespassers. Or so I was told after being admonished about what a dangerous place this was and how lots of dangerous people hang around here.

     History
This factory once produced wheels and metallic brake shoes for rail cars. It was operating up until 1988 at least. I can find no other records for it. It sits right on an active rail line. One part of the main building is brick and very old the rest is built up around it and made of more modern corrugated sheet and structural steel.

Satellite views show this one is gone, reports suggest it burned down even though it was made of steel and masonry.
