The 1901 census records show that the family employed 20 domestic staff, split between the house, dairy, stables and gardens. Rev. Harvey & his wife Constance had five children, two girls and three boys. After the death of his first wife he married again in 1911 and had a fourth Son in 1913 to Emma Jessie. Following his death the house & 260 acre estate were sold in 1939. By the late 1940's the house was in use as an annexe to Roffey Park Hospital, & from the 1970's to it's closure in 1983, as its staff residence. The house was also brought into use during WWII as a home for London evacuees. It was originally intended to convert the property into apartments at the same times as the Roffey Park Hospitasl was converted.
