George the city engineer at the time. The tunnel was build in order to make a link between the harbour and the city in order to speed up merchandise transfer. The tunnel links directly to the old frigorific warehouse. Today the tunnel is known as Tunnel Beaudry, is abandoned and is sqatted every summer. The tunnel was chosen as the movie set for "Le dernier tunnel" movie in which Brock street tunnel is supposed to be the sewer under St-Antoine st.
