Overview

Description
At about 3500m there is an abandoned/destroyed support structure that was build during the towers construction for the engineers that housed the electrical generation facilities for the site at the peak. The way to the top is guided by a 150cm conduit that at one time held power cables run to the summit. At 4507m (the summit) There are two "shipping" containers that at one time held broadcast TV and FM radio equipment. The broadcast tower itself is ~30m tall and still has the original FM arrays from when It was operational; despite having been hit with a satchel charge during the war.

The tower site was built in 1988. During the genocide in 1994 the tower was raided and the support structures were looted, and in some cases destroyed.
