Huge in scale, indeed probably the largest single disused structure ever to be explored by the Cave Clan. 42 stories high, with 7 rooftops, the highest providing a 260 degree panorama of Sydney city. Large 10 storey high workhouse full of conveyors, hoppers, gangways and alcoves, odd levels, huge pits etc. The Rave Room, once the site of a large illegal rave was a massive covered space with huge open silo cells, old huts, conveyor platforms running water and power. This was the site of the first Cave Clan Golden Torch Awards. Above this room was the Football Feild; a massive tar sheet covered rooftop the size of a football pitch, with climbable billboard ad's at one end and city views from the other. Between the Rave Room and the Workhouse was the Void, a huge gap, 20 stories high with bridges joining the two sections. At the bottom of the gap was the Basement, where in 1998 a film crew built a set of a subway station asnd filmed the famous fight scene between Neo and Agent Smith for the film 'The Matrix'. Outside the basement sat the 'Loop' Train used in the scene. Underneath the main cells was a warren of passages and open cells, into which you could climb, your voice becoming a boom when amplified by the huge conical space. (think www.silophone.net). The workhouse of the Annexe was a stagnant mess of overflowed mollases, sticky and far less inhabitable than the main workhouse, leading up to a small 40 storey high rooftop. The Annexe cells sat next to the main cells, with a huge outdoor gap in between.
