Depending on what documents, newspapers or calendars you see, the house could have been abandoned in either 1988 or 2003.  Media Coverage  Future Plans The house sat abandoned and rotting until February 2, 2005 at which time the Pickering arsonist set it ablaze. Demo crews are tearing the remains of the house down in February 2005... Update: November 2005, the house is totally gone now. They filled in the basement with earth, and you would never know that there was a house there.
