     History
A holdover from the times when Carbon County was part of Pennsylvania's mining boom. There is a little mining museum in town that shows how they snaked train tracks through the hills of the Poconos and ran the coal down to the town of Jim Thorpe. This warehouse sits right on the freight line that runs out of town. It was probably used for either the preparation of the coal and loading into freightcars.

     Future Plans
The last ttime I was there a person came through and told me that they were planning to knock the building down and build some sort of senior citizcen housing.

    It is gone now.
