 Description
The Turcot Yards is the biggest vacant area in north america(9 million square feet). With 6 buildings and a control tower, it takes about 40 minutes to walk from ont side to the other. The yards are dividing NDG from St-Henri A former train yard with warehouses and administration buildings, they stored the merchandise before sending it to the Port of Montreal for further transportations. The tracks have been removed. Located under the highways, the yard is a great and interesting place with tons of rooms, buildings & space to explore.

    still has 2 active tracks
was a general sorting yard till the mid 80s when it specialized in intermodal.

     Future Plans
CN has agreed in to parcel the yards off into three sections and sell them to separate industrial and commercial buyers, whose identities are not revealed. The other two sections have also attracted buyers, although who will be allowed to build what on the site is far from being determined and remains subject to borough council input.

The city is planning to build laundry services for the upcoming superhospital for 2005.
