The Bamberton Industrial Site and Surrounding Lands were originally assembled in 1912 for the purposes of establishing a cement manufacturing plant and distribution facility, which continued until the plant was shut down in 1980. In its prime, Bamberton was both an industrial facility as well as a company town with its own school, store, offices and other facilities.The industrial component of the site has remained as a cement distribution facility up to the present. Around 1990, plans were drawn up to build an ecologically sustainable, self-sufficient community for up to 12,000 residents. Rezoning difficulties stalled the process and in 1997 the project was abandoned.
The Bamberton site is now owned by Three Point Properties, and most of the buildings have been demolished

This area has been fully Demolished, i dont think anything is happening with it right now, but i believe someone has the intentions to devolpe it with a large subdivison all that remain's is a barge i believe,
