Pacific Airmotive started in the 1950's, and offered maintenance and repair services for aircraft engines. As the years went by, Pacific Airmotive was restructured and reformed several times, resulting in a knot of ownerships and divisions. Purex bought Pacific Airmotive in 1968 as a wholly-owned subsidiary. After further restructuring (including an incorporation in Delaware), Pacific Airmotive was bought by UNC, Inc. UNC was bought by General Electric in 1997. This particular facility is a Superfund site, and it's presumable that GE now carries the obligation to perform environmental remediation.
