an area that used to be target ranges has now been mostly cleared and is awaiting cleanup to become parkland.
consists of 3 clearings that used to be target ranges.
clearing 1: mostly a meadow with a trench in the middle, and old piping laying around in the corner/center. The trench has a large pipe that the river used to go though but is now eroding the trench deeper.
clearing 2: is where the old range used to be, there is a gravel area with the concert foundation of the shooting stalls. numbers still visible.
clearing 3: contains the clubhouse and was where i believe clay pigeons where shot. The ground further in looks very polluted and next to the clubhouse there is a pile of waste (oil, gas, coolant, paint) slowly leeching into the soil beneath.

target ranges on Burnaby Mountain have been in use for more than 50 years.
50 years of use have contaminated the soil and the city is unsure of what to do about it.
Site was originally houses from old Barnet Townsite. Only surviving home is the school teacher's house, built 1914. more surviving houses across the street, or see Wraiths.org under red missions.
