After the war the hospital was well known for being tuberculosis sanitarium.  Media Coverage  Future Plans The hospital was officially closed in 2001 - 2002 as a part of the money saving campaing of HUS, but it's still partly used by different nursing organizations, that need temporary nursing places. The lower floors are somewhat abandoned and normally the top floors are in use.
