Was torn down in 2006. All that remains are a few small vestiges of the former campus (gazebo, stairway, etc) and the front outer walls of the Kirkbride administration building, a.k.a. "front center" as well as the walls of 2 wings. An entirely new/modern structure was constructed inside of this remaining facade section, and the roof that caps it all is simplified. The basements were filled in. The interior design is very plain and does not mirror the styling of the original Kirkbride, so this was really not considered a preservatory project. Land now occupied by an apartment/condominium community.

Session 9 (a movie) was filmed there, as well as "Home Before Dark". Hospital perfected the pre-frontal lobotomy. Kirkbride style building present, this building was mothballed and reopened in stages several times throughout it's lifespan before being completely closed in 1992. Parts of the administration building, gymnasium, and other central areas of the Kirkbride had just been renovated with the assistance of vocational school students prior the closing of the complex.
