R.I.P American Locomotive Buildings (Soon)
Posted on Forum: UER Forum
For those that are not aware, the Historic American Locomotive Site (ALCO) in Schenectady New York is being demolished to make room for Condominiums, a marina, and possibly a hotel. In its heyday it was the 2nd largest maker of Locomotives in the U.S, and Walter Chrysler of Chrysler Co. got his start there in the 20's designing ALco Automobiles.
So me and a buddy decided to get pictures before it's too late. Destruction started yesterday.

Hope you enjoy the pictures.

This place looks like a fun, long explore. A shame it's being knocked down. This is the first I've heard of it. Now it's too late.

Nice shots, though a few are too dark.

It's a real bummer that they are being torn down. I've been wanting to get out and explore that place for a long while now, but I am just never in that part of the state with enough time to do it.
