Pretty cool! Assuming this is near where your screen name home town is, that city has a lot of old buildings worth exploring if abandoned.

I'm guessing the lens hood on your camera was twisted slightly? (judging from the strange vignetting #'s 4, 5, 8, and 9)

Pretty cool set! Any information on its previous use? Thank you for sharing!

Yes, the hood kinda interferes when I am zoomed all the way out, but I figure if need be, I can crop later.

I used to live in Salinas, but now live further north and work in San Jose by the airport. Not very far from someone else's recent weekend morgue light orgy actually.

There are a ton of places around my work and with my new Canon, I plan to start spending my lunches wandering around instead of just b.s.'ing the time away.

The first set (the first 1-9) were taken with just a flower hood. The second set (1-7), with the flower hood and a polarizing UV filter.

EDIT:

The place used to be a paper recycling center/pulp mill.
