Military equipment

I am a huge history nerd, specifically US Military history. Last summer I got the opportunity to see some armor being moved from one base to another. I am mainly interested in World War II era German stuff. There was also some WWI era and more modern vehicles. This is the tip of the iceberg... there are hundreds of vehicles being moved. Sadly, my connection to get in (I had permission) and see these has been moved to another base so I doubt I'll get back to see more and take better quality pictures. These vehicles are in all original condition and will be part of the US Military Armor Museum one day.
Not the greatest pictures, but pretty cool none the less.

Marder and half track
1.

SdKfz 2 'Kettenkrad'
2.

Schwimmwagen
3.

Panther
4.

King Tiger... I think this ones runs and drives, one of only two left in the world in operational condition.

Yeah, pretty good name. It is an amphibious vehicle that car 'float' across deep water, hence the 'schwimm' or swim part of the name. Has a propeller on the back. Not too many of them survived the war.
A few more pictures:

Marder
1.

The feared '88' anti tank and aircraft gun
2.

Various artillary
3.

Panzer III
4.

Jagdpanzer
5.

All of it, as far as I could tell. None of the wheeled guns had been welded or torch cut, but they had breech blocks and other parts removed and stored elsewhere so that they couldn't be fired unless you had access to the parts as well.

There is a sign up now right before you get to the Infantry museum, but I'm sure it will take several years for them to even start construction. Unfortunately this stuff will set locked up until then.
There is a ton more stuff out at the Sand Hill railhead, but it is much harder to get access to. I've seen pictures online though. Let me know if we can go explore that area one day without getting shot up by black helos.

The ones under wraps are Tiger II, and it looks like theres a Russian T72 and a T34 mixed in there.

Also a Volkswagen Kubelwagen in the back corner.
