| | | Hey there, I'm new on this site and new to UE as well. I started draining about a month ago and am eager to find some new drains. I'm trying to find any sort of map or directory that could point me in the direction explorable drains in Calgary. So far I've only found two drains. I've searched all over the net for something like this but haven;t had much luck. I'm wondering if the city archives might have maps but am somewhat hesitant to go waltzing in there requesting sewer maps... Any help is really appreciated

Give 'em some good spin about an appropriate project. Also, use topo maps or google maps and look. Any paved areas have drainage, and anytime a drainage basin (which has water at the bottom of it by definition) crosses paved areas there is some tunnel. Bigger drainage, bigger drain. Start under malls and Wal-Marts, move up to massive areas drained by car-friendly tunnels.

| | | I was thinking about going and pitching them some sort of semi-credible story. I'm actually going to be headed out tomorrow in search of good drains, I was thinking I'll just head down beside the river and see what I can find. I might try near some malls now.

| | | I'm not sure if Calgary's cops are as vigilant as Edmonton's, but beware, they seem to be very overzealous about busting drainers up there.
