My Work Brings Me To Alabama

SO I have a great new job that will include traveling to AL three times a week. Here is the area I will be working in:

Everything in the purple lines are in my work area.

Now, who would be interested in meeting up? I plan on giving myself enough time to do some UEing. Plus I will be scouting and searching every town I am in for anything.

Everywhere I know of in the state is a lot farther south than you'll be =(

If you should find yourself a little closer to Birmingham, let me know. I know all kinds of spots around here, but as far as the northern bits of the state go, it's unfortunately a big black spot on my automap.

Seems like there's a few ghost towns up that way but the only things left are foundations and chimneys and the odd tiny hundred year old graveyards. I know there's more up there than that but I haven't been around there to check it out.

Anywhoozle, feel free to send a PM my way if you wanna try to get together some time. =)

Will you be coming back to Chattanooga each day? I'd be down to meet you there and head out for a day or two when I'm not working, but if you're going to be out there for a few days and not going back and forth I couldn't go. =/

How long is said job going to last? If we actually found someone that knew some spots and would take us I'd definitely be down if I was free. Or I can just drive up one day to keep you company during your Alabama shenanigans.

There is actually a couple items of interest in the Tullahoma/Winchester area. I had lived there for many years. One just got demoed before I even knew it was abandoned. I cried.

So I found out about these buildings! I can't get a good angle on the school further from the road. I am looking forward to this. I plan on hitting up the Pumpkin as well.

I might be interested.

I generally photograph in the North West Georgia area (previously Washington DC / Maryland / West Virginia / Pennsylvania / Ohio areas).

Have recently been moving towards East Central Alabama (Anniston / Gadsden), and South Central Tennessee (Chattanooga).

I have not been in the area you outlined on your map... so I would be flying blind as it concerns event sites.

My schedule allows me to do UE day trips... on Tuesday or Thursday only.

I generally head out (of the Atlanta area) around 5a (to reach an event site by 7-8a) and have to be back in my area by 3-4p.

If the event site warrants... I will try to return the following week.

On occasion, I can do a Saturday event... thus the upcoming (and my first) spectra event on 9/10/11... now isn't that an interesting date.

The attached map shows the areas I've photographed in 2011. Many of the dots have multiple locations.
