very interesting locations, i love this kind of exploration. great job on the pics. and the black sand & black rocks, that is really interesting. pioche looks to be smack in the middle of the basin and range volcanic region... so that makes sense!

I have to guess the main activity at the "recreational complex" involves guns, trucks and beer that comes in cans.

Some kind of lib political comment?

Last time that I checked, all of those were still legal. At least in Nevada.

Legal and highly enjoyable. More a sarcastic remark regarding their use of the term recreational in reference to that piece of dirt.

Hey FastEddy,

Good to know that you're a sports fan.

By-the-way, I'll be out there this weekend doing some plinking and four wheeling. Come on out and we'll have a couple of 'bottles' of beer.

Cheers,

40Mile

Modena - Dopest picture.

Hey Pmoradi,

I had to google "Dopest" to find out if it was a good thing, or a bad thing.

So....thanks!

Cheers,

40Mile

Love this one the best with the new "tool". What is it? Really brings out the rust and oxidized colors!

Hard to believe but it's in ACDsee Pro V4. I've just been using this to organize and do some very basic editing. But now it has kind of a one-touch HDR tool that you can only use on RAW images. I discovered it by mistake and started playing with it last night.

Expect a lot of highly saturated images from me on my next post.
