| | | I stumbled upon this place today by accident. I was coming home from an unsuccessful explore (the place I wanted to go was completely boarded up, no access points.) On my way home, I noticed out of the corner of my eye a little shack off of the road. I flipped a quick U-turn and parked on the other side of the road. I saw some barbed wire in front of it and a bunch of brush to the right of it. I said to myself "why not?" I cruised through the brush and saw that the barbed wire was only in front of the place, so I walked right up to the shack and immediately saw a house right behind it. I was disappointed yet again because the house was completely boarded up. However, right next to it was a big garage, nothing really inside, but it looked like it kept going. I kept meandering and finally, stumbled upon what looked to be an abandoned cement factory. I'm still trying to decide if its actually abandoned because there's some new cement products in packaging, but everything inside looks like it hasn't been touched in quite a while. Abandoned or not, I was pretty stoked to come across this after a disappointing morning. The images aren't perfect, I processed all of them in the past couple hours. Enjoy! 1. The shack

| | | 15 is quite enjoyable.
I've no sense, I lick electric fence; I put barbed wire in my pants and do a Celtic dance. - My Canon 300D is beat to hell, a bit finicky, and a 'lil loose, much like everything else I own... http://www.youtube...atch?v=IvN10-n1NBc |

i am the other yourself. "Have you been half asleep and have you heard voices? I've heard them calling my name. Is this the sweet sound that called the young sailors. The voice might be one and the same. I've heard it too many times to ignore it. It's something that I'm supposed to be." http://www.flickr....orers/collections/ |

I was definitely pretty stoked. I forget to take a picture of something I found inside. It was a mold of Bigfoot's foot (like they do on the Discovery channel,) but inside someone had written "fuck you" in the cement. A true urbex masterpiece.

Thats code for Old............ The Nerve! hehehe J/K
So I been looking over your photos trying to figure out what I like and don't like about HDR. I have been shooting some pics lately to mess around with in HDR cause I see some that are amazing and some that are garbage. This thread and your other one have actually helped to pinpoint stuff I like in HDR and stuff I dont. Cement, Stone, sky, Etc... all done in HDR I think I love if not over done, as I am seeing in your photos. I think its when I see the bright unnatural stuff such as the tagging, or over done rust, that it distracts me. Sorry didn't mean to turn your thread into an HDR forum, its just that I found myself really looking at the different areas in your photos and what the HDR does to them, versus just looking at an overall big photo.............. if any of that made sense lol

I totally understand. What drew me to HDR was the texture and vibrancy of things that don't typically appear to be. I'm no HDR expert, I'm just having fun with it. I agree that the tagging can be distracting, but I try to tone it down without making the entire photo look dull. Sometimes I think it can actually enhance the photo, but very rarely. I always appreciate feedback, so thanks for your input!
