|  | | | Just found this interesting article about Tunnel Systems in Bavaria and Austria. Unfortunately it's in German and - believe it or not - i couldn't be arsed to translate ;).
Anyhow - for the germanic part of this forum this might be an interesting find - and for the rest: there are a couple of pictures which might give you an idea of the situation.
Me personally, i wouldn't go down there - just to small and tight for a tall man like me ;)

edit: one more thing to add in terms of age: apparently these tunnels are something between one and five thousand years old. just for the record. And apparently nobody really knows what they have been used for.

Google Chrome will translate the entire page in the blink of an eye. ;)
I might find it a little nerve-racking to be squeezing through those tunnels under the church they described. Very interesting article.
