| | | I just want to say, in case anyone is confused about whether I'm confused about the quality of my photography, that I know these pics are shoddy. I almost never start threads here. I'm making an exception because not many people get a chance to see this building from the inside. Many of the pics are overexposed, underexposed, blurry, unbalanced, etc. I've included them because they document important, amusing, or otherwise interesting aspects of the building, such as the rooftop portico, which will be familiar to Atlanta residents who use the Downtown Connector. Sadly, this location will not be around much longer. Though designated historic by the City in the 1980s, it is slated for demolition in the near future. This is a grainy outside shot of the building I found on the internet.

| | | I'm glad you were willing to post these photos even though you feel they're not "artistic" - it seems to me you've captured the feel of a pretty cool location just fine. I especially liked seeing the veranda/porch with the columns and the skyline. Linen awareness..?

| | | Don't know when demo is scheduled. The preservationists are trying to save it. In fact, there's an online petition devoted to that cause. I signed it, but for all the wrong reasons. According to the AJC, the City of Atlanta has to give permission. This was back in May. We'll see what happens, but I'm guessing they'll get or have already got permission to tear it down. Thanks ensimismada. The real problem is I have a crap camera. Am planning to rectify that soon.

| | | Sorry for the late reply LB but I gotta say that I am so glad that you posted this. Not simply because it was so slick of you to have retrieved your supposedly "deleted" pics or that you got to document a place that we all recognize but can never get into. I am glad you got off with just a cool story and posted this because you are such an active person and post so infrequently. This is a cool spot, Kudos! Gotta work on our hit list now ;)
