something fishy about this fire. i was there a few months ago and the entire plant was soaking wet. all the floors and pretty much everything inside were very wet and damp.
here is a video from a few months back
I am covered in filth, at least it's my own My smell, well, you know you can't get higher
im calling bs on this one. what i think happened was, fire was set intentionally because the building didnt look good enough (to me) to turn into anything but a heaping pile. and now that money will most likely go to the miller school to turn it into something. i think it was intentional.
*and im sure there is an insurance policy to be paid out on the cotton mill [last edit 3/26/2011 2:55 AM by unlink - edited 1 times] I am covered in filth, at least it's my own My smell, well, you know you can't get higher

arson much? yes me thinks it was a fire sale. When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

im telling you...the place was soaked when i was there. all the wood floors and materials laying around were wet. id say about 90% of the plant was waterlogged. just doesnt sound right when they say "highly flammable timbers". there were many areas that you couldnt walk to due to rot. the whole plant was loud with water dripping all over. Definitely sounds like a fire sale.
