| | | So I would like to introduce myself and post a few pictures - I have always been exploring, but only recently discovered that there is a community out there with like minds. a friend showed me sleepycity.net which led me all through the various connections and to this forum. I am glad to see that there are groups of people and individuals locally who are into this stuff.. i am new to taking photos of my adventures and these are some of my first attempts - i wanted the immediate feedback of digital and i dont have a DSLR, so this is the best i could do with the basic digi ive got.. captured better shots im sure with the 35mm but obviously digital is quicker/cheaper etc.. anyway.. on to the pictures! i love this spot for its closeness to the density of the city and its ease of access/low key feel. ive only gone about a 1/4 mile down the left pipe and i can tells it goes way the hell back - need a couple hours and maybe my bike so i dont have to crouch when the pipe drops to about 5 feet diameter
.
.
this one came out the best i think - more work to do [last edit 3/20/2011 4:25 AM by _forj_ - edited 1 times]

| | | Nice, bro. I've had an interest in draining recently.

| | | yeh ive got decent lights so that helped with the shots coming out better. they look better in high res too... thing is this camera has a max of 16 seconds exposure - and i think id like to have at least 30 seconds when taking shots underground.. need to invest in a solid DSLR.. must save monies. this is also basically my second time experimenting with these kind of shots - so i will get better im sure

| | | Always nice to see more drainers, especially in the southeast.

| | | thanks! workin on gettin better and saving up for a better camera went a little further down the rabbit hole last night - same drain, same camera - better pictures i think.. pipe gets smaller from here on and you have to hunch over (i can run the section up until this point at a pretty good speed )
ive made it to the next room past this one but hunching over and walking that far is tough.. keeps goin after that at the same size pipe.. and ive got a pretty good feeling about where it goes. topside recon required ( may have found a way in through a drainage catchment ).. maybe tonight!
