Photography Show roundup

First and foremost, I was humbled to hang my images on the wall next to everyones work. You're all crazy talented and it was so much fun to see huge prints in real life. Hell - Rob's been looking at our pictures through his iPhone screen for months. Imagine how he felt about the 60x90 prints.

• A great time was had by all. While it was a lot of hard work, I'd say that everyone at some point had a chance to have some tacos, drinks, and enjoy the music and art.

•The tacos were awesome. If you weren't there you missed out. If you were there it was great to talk to you.

•I'll have some video of the displays so the folks who couldn't attend can see how everything turned out.

•Video people. I need to personally apologize. For an assortment of reasons I wasn't able to get the videos up and running. Maybe there'll be a next time!

•Hope everyone made it home safe in the rain.

•Anyone missing a Canon lens cap?

•Anyone want to buy some prints? ;)

•Where was Big Dave?

•Those of you from out of town - posting pictures on the forums and giving me your bios turned out to be useful. I had an awesome time showing people around the gallery and saying, "Yeees this is the work of Ms. Bouncewiggle. Yeees that's a decommissioned nuclear reactor."

Sounds like it was a good time. I'm REALLY bummed I couldn't make it out there for this, hopefully there will be some more of these and I can make it out to those.

Awsome, Dav!

I'm already thinking about the next one. Central committee needs to sit down in the next week or so.

It was really good to meet everyone I had never met before and see old friends. The show was good but the rain kept a lot of people from attending I am sure.

We will start a planing process like earthworm said soon I am sure so be on the look out for the next one.

P.S. those tacos did fucking rock!

Good god. That bass picture. What a maneuver.

I ran around shooting some video while we were still setting up some light and adding the final touches.

#5 and #8 seem to be misposted in the wrong section. They should be in WTF#3.

Looks like a fun time. Too bad it's so far from me.

That video made me so happy. I'm probably the only person who knows everything that didn't happen that was suppose to happen and it was weighing heavily on me. I started having a false recollection. But Dav made a very good point. If people didn't know all the small things that didn't get done then no person would have expected it in the first place. So this video of the first half, even though we were still setting up a lot, made me see how much did go right. And a lot went far beyond! Again that video really made me happy and I can't wait to see more from later in the day.

All in all we got a turn out of 150-175 people through the very long day. Not we hoped but it was flooding...IN LA!

There will be more but I'm stepping way back from the next one. Earthworm's got some great ideas for an even greater one. Looks like another in LA in the spring and then San Fran during summer and who knows...Toronto in the fall?

On another note there were so many people that jumped in and helped save the day. I'll have to save that for another post for now it's off to DC!

P.S. If you submitted from out of town please visit the private forum.

Doing one in San Fran, I'm totally there! Keep us Bay Area types informed and there will be at least some presence.
