|  | | | It's been a busy week for me. I've gone on a binge of explorations, including an absolutely perfect school today. Besides accidentally discovering it, this place was nearly untouched and totally stuffed with all kinds of goods. One of the things that actually touched a nerve with me were the personal files left in the building. The box below represents about 1/10th of the files on grades, disciplinary action, teacher reports of different students; they were just left there in the open for anyone to come and abuse.

These, however, were left by the dozens. I'm slightly worried why a school would need easily a few thousand slips.

In one side closet, an entire shelf full of preserved creatures. Bird, crab, starfish, fish, shark, mushrooms, bugs, and more. This also happened to be the closet with the microscopes and Newtonian scales laying about the floor.

And of course, I'm sure this was left specifically to scare the shit out of me. In a dark hallway, with a narrow-beam flash light, a skeleton just happens to show up... not funny

Definitely a hidden treasure. There were all other kinds of interesting objects and finds throughout the school, but due to the darkness a fair number of my shots came out incredibly blurred. I'll go back sometime with a proper camera and some more time. I want to look around the rooftops more and photograph the trophy cabinet more clearly.

| | | | Nice stuff. Simian and I check this place out in '05 but they were just in the process of locking it up. Surprised it stayed in such good shape. Atlanta's school system is such shit, I remember finding at least 15 public schools in my time down there.

As far as the slips, here in Texas, at the school I worked out, they'd buy 10,000 or so of each form whenever they ran out just so they could get a big bulk discount.
