From my topographic maps and Google Earth, it looks like the Otto Mine right outside Baker, CA was quite a substantial mine. Apparently, it shutdown in 1970. Does anybody know if the interior workings are still accessible? There are several portals visible both on maps and on Google Earth.

Bump.

Well Frank, Matthew and I explored this mines, they don't go very far in, but there are a bunch of adits which was pretty neat. A bunch of old rusty cans around the entrance to the main Adit as well, was cool checking it out.

And there was even some modern day miners trying to extract minerals out still of the rock!
