| | | | I took the tour back in 2006 but due to water further upstream in the system we weren't allowed down onto the floor of the pressure chamber. I've heard that the tours never go right to the floor these days, but I can't verify that myself.
Naturally with a system this size (check out the diagrams online if you're bored) there will be access somewhere for an afterhours. Were I local I'd be able to tell you for sure. I've never seen photos of it illegally explored unfortunately.
Kuroneko has a funny story about his experience there, perhaps he'll chime in.
