Yes a black coon we were up on the island and Bonnie went to toss something in the dumpster. Shes like there is a coon in the dumpster. And there was, a raccoon stuck in the dumpster. So we propped open the lid, and gave him a board to walk up, and rescued rocky the raccoon.

| | | Good on you guys for rescuing that coonie. During mating season they will get quite mean. Sometime after the holidays I believe? I,ve hand raised 10 or so, and even those will try to attack after they are a year old. They are very fast, very strong, and have a wicked bite. I've been bitten at least twice, and they were only warning bites, just to scare me. If they had meant to do damage they could have torn me up.... Just be advised, when the head is down low, tail twitching back and forth, and a low growling, or snarling with barred teeth. This means back off, you're about to get bit for reals.... These ones look pretty good natured, they're probably younger, like a little over a year or so? Sounds like Relic can attest to the harsher side of coonies? 1.

| | | rad photos guys. i've passed by that train station a few times and thought about venturing in. too bad there's an alarm system set up. did it go off like a house alarm where the sirens go off blaring loud? seeing those pics of the church make me want to go visit it even more.

| | | The alarm system looks like it has a small camera even. I'd be pretty curious to trace the wiring back to see what it's all hooked up to. My bet is a car battery, a single motion detector and the strobe and siren. Not much else. The camera may not be hooked up to anything. If you or anyone else decides to go back, find where that camera is and try to trace out the system without causing it to go off. I think I can even see the wires tacked up along the wall at about 12' in the OP.

| | | i'm guessing it's an infrared camera. the shape of the camera supports this theory [ round/tube camera with a hood/roof ]. a plane of glass in front of the camera would hinder the camera useless. if anyone wants to try this theory out let me know, i want to come with.

| | | Glass does not block IR. Black spraypaint would render it pretty useless though.
