Barker Ranch Expedition

A while back my friends and I decided to take a trip to Barker Ranch, famous (infamous?) for being the spot that Charles Manson was arrested.

Though I'm usually over-prepared this was a spur of the moment decision and we headed to Death Valley with only a general idea of where we were going.

As a result we drove all day and never found the ranch. But we did find several other cool places scattered around the desert.

My friends and I always talked about going back, this time with a good map. But sadly, we were never able to actually coordinate anything and recently the majority of the ranch burned to the ground. Maybe we'll still go check it out sometime though. If only to say we finally found it.

Looks like you still had a fun adventure.

The question is not when are we gonna stop, It's who's gonna stop us?

nice photos, thanks for sharing. I especially like the stars and stripes bucket on the fireplace, nice touch! and the cabin looks beautifully isolated, it must have been nice and peaceful yet creepy there.
